CARDIOLOGY

Our Cardiology Department at Temar offers a full spectrum of specialty services for patients with conditions affecting their heart and blood vessels. Our goal is to provide exceptional care for patients who are at risk for or with established cardiovascular disease. Temar offers a wide range of cardiac diagnostic tests and procedures. We provide tests for both adult patients and children.

EXERCISE TOLERANCE TEST (ETT)An exercise tolerance test (ETT) – also known as an exercise electrocardiogram (ECG) – can help to assess the severity of the coronary heart disease. In this condition blood vessels supplying the heart become narrower. Temar offers ETT to diagnose whether you have coronary heart disease.

ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY (ECHO)Cardiovascular disease can be a silent killer. By the time it is diagnosed in a traditional clinical practice, patients are typically years into the disease. Temar offers specialized cardiac echo for early risk identification and can help clinicians deliver effective treatment and prevent devastating outcomes.

PULMONARY FUNCTION TEST (PFT)Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) are noninvasive tests that show the status of lungs. The tests measure lung volume, capacity, rates of flow, and gas exchange. This information can help your healthcare provider diagnose the treatment of certain lung disorders.

TILT TABLE TESTThe head-up tilt table test helps find the cause of fainting spells. After lying on the bed, you’re tilted at different angles while the machine monitors your blood pressure, electrical impulses in your heart, and oxygen level. This occurs in a special room called the EP (electrophysiology) lab.

24 HOUR HOLTER MONITORINGA continuous test to record your heart rate and rhythm for 24 hours. The monitor is attached as you go about your normal daily routine. The device has fewer leads than a regular EKG, but does consist of the same electrodes and electrical leads. It can pick up your heart’s rate and rhythm, when you feel chest pains, and when you exhibit symptoms of an irregular heartbeat or arrhythmia.

24 HOUR BP MONITORING (ABPM)Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) is when your blood pressure is measured as you move around, living your daily life and is carried over 24 hours. A small digital blood pressure machine is attached to a belt around your body, which is connected to a cuff around your upper arm.

ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHY (ECG)Electrocardiography is the process of recording the electrical activity of the heart over a period of time using electrodes placed on the skin. At Temar a team of highly qualified cardiologists and cardiac technicians help diagnose cardiac disorders in a very prompt manner.
